Future Healthcare Group and the University of Beira Interior signed an Agreement that is key for the Company’s new Hub in Covilhã.
This partnership between the two institutions includes collaboration in several aspects, such as the joint development of research projects, optimization of synergies and information exchange in their areas of expertise or promoting internships aimed at the integration of recent graduates in professional life.
Within this partnership, will be established the “Future Healthcare Award”, which will be assigned for the first time in the academic year 2021/22, for dissertations presented in the previous year.
This agreement is one of the central supports for the creation of a Future Healthcare hub in Covilhã, which aims to contribute to regional development, relying on UBI’s know-how and the talent of its students and future professionals, especially in the IT area.
The Future Healthcare Group team will have its base at UBImedical, a space of excellence that articulates the link between the University and the business world.
The Protocol was formalized by the Magnificent Rector of UBI, Professor Mário Raposo and the CEO of the Future Healthcare Group, Eng.º José Pina, in a solemn session that took place on July 13, at the UBI Rectory and had also the presence of His Excellency, the Mayor of Covilhã, Dr. Vítor Pereira.
